12. MINORS

When you provide us with personal information, you must be 14 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 14, the consent of your parent or guardian is required.

 

13. RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT

If you wish to withdraw your consent to the retention, use or disclosure of personal information that we may have collected about you, please contact the person responsible who can discuss the matter with you.

 

14. RIGHTS OF ACCESS AND RECTIFICATION

Upon request, you may be informed of the personal information we collect about you.

In addition to being informed, you may also request that we confirm the existence of your personal information with us and provide you with a copy of it. When it is computerized, you may request that a copy of your information be provided to you by means of a written and intelligible transcript, in a structured and commonly used technological format.

If you become aware that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous, you may request that it be corrected.

When we rectify personal information, we will promptly notify any person or organization to whom we may have disclosed it in the preceding six (6) months and from whom we received it, if applicable.

 

Request for access or correction

Your request must be in writing and forwarded to the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

We will ask you to prove your identity.

You can ask the person in charge to assist you in preparing your application.

 

Processing your request

The person responsible is the person in charge of processing your request.

A response will be sent to you within thirty (30) days of receipt of the written request by the person responsible.

 

Reasonable Fees

Access to and correction of your personal information is free of charge.

However, a reasonable fee may be charged for the transcription, reproduction, or transmission of such documents. In such a case, you will be informed in advance of the approximate amount of the applicable fees.

 

Denial of application

If the responsible person refuses to comply with your request for access or correction, he or she will inform you of the following:

  • The legal basis for the refusal;
  • The remedies available to you under the law;
  • The deadlines for exercising these remedies.

If you request, the person in charge must assist you in understanding the refusal.

 

15. COMPLAINT HANDLING

If you have a complaint, please contact the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

You will then need to provide your name and contact information so that it is possible to reach you.

The person in charge will ask you to set out the reasons for your complaint, with sufficient details to allow the complaint to be processed.

The person in charge will treat your complaint confidentially and follow up with you by email within thirty (30) days of obtaining all the information necessary to assess the situation.

If additional time is required to process your complaint, the person in charge will notify you by email before the usual processing period has expired.

Despite the internal complaints process, you can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information. Obviously, before proceeding in this way, we invite you to contact the person responsible and wait until your complaint has been dealt with internally.

 

16. PRIVACY INCIDENT

In the event that we become aware of an incident involving a breach of confidentiality of your personal information and that this incident represents a risk of serious harm to you, we will notify you in writing. In such a case, the Commission d'accès à l'information would also be notified.

 

17. TECHNOLOGICAL SECURITY

The personal information we collect through technology is kept in a secure environment and those working for us are required to respect the confidentiality of your information.

We are committed to maintaining a high level of confidentiality by incorporating the latest technological innovations to ensure the protection of your personal information.

It is published on the alphacommerce.ca website and distributed in such a way as to reach the individuals concerned by the personal information we collect through technology.
